CQC Report

The role of Care Quality Commission

At Horsham Home Care, we always strive to ensure every aspect of our care service excels. One way we do this is by working to guidance issued by the Care Quality Commission: the independent regulator of health and social care across England.

CQC are responsible for monitoring, inspecting and regulating all care services. They know what good care looks like and are key in ensuring care providers, such as Horsham Home Care, are not falling behind Government standards.

Fundamental standards are set out by CQC for care providers to follow.  As such, these are embedded in the ethos of Horsham Home Care and include;

  • Person-centred care; tailored to individual needs and requirements
  • Dignity and respect
  • Safe care and treatment
  • Good food and drink to keep good health
  • Safeguarding from abuse, neglect and improper treatment
  • Good governance
  • When inspecting, CQC look at five key areas to analyse whether the care service is:

  • Safe
  • Effective
  • Caring
  • Responsive and;
  • Well led
  • Horsham Home Care are proud of their dedicated Care Team and the high quality, personalised care and support they provide; encouraging independence and enhancing lifestyle. Our recent CQC inspection is testament to this.
